Overview
The Azure Host and Innovation team builds the foundation for the next generation of cloud offerings. This team leads modern hosting and is responsible for the platform that supports Microsoft’s infrastructure. The team drives the design, strategy, and execution of the vision to deliver the core platform for Microsoft Azure, which includes building capabilities for the world’s artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer.
We focus on creating platform experiences that power Azure datacenters to run compute infrastructure supporting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Cloud Services. This role offers the opportunity to join a strategic and innovative team with company-wide impact while contributing to advancements that shape the future of cloud computing.
We are hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the next generation host infrastructure for Microsoft Azure. This position emphasizes efficiency, performance, and innovative design. You will collaborate with engineering, program management, and development teams across the organization to achieve platform infrastructure goals that set new industry standards.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,
- OR product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Be part of inclusive and diverse world-class PM team to deliver new and improve existing Azure services.
- Partner with Engineering to design architecture and integrated customer solutions to complex technical needs for multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service).
- Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for highly complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across the business.
- Deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups across divisions, track project schedules, drive development of staging and implementation plans, and lead governance programs.
- Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also provide expertise needed to collect performance metrics, lead customer support, and define and possibly lead direct customer engagements.
- Create clarity, generate energy, and define what it means to deliver success for our customers, engineering teams, and the business.
