In MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) Finance, we’re driving shareholder value in 50+ subsidiaries and ~ 120 Sales Locations and carry the local accountability for the financials as well as statutory and compliance matters across all Microsoft commercial segments and products.
In MCAPS Finance we:

The MCAPS Core & Solution Area Finance team is seeking a proficient finance professional to be part of the team overseeing part of the product portfolio and driving strategy and execution across key rhythms and deliverables. The selected individual will get to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced (and fun) environment to help drive strategy across various different dimensions of the Commercials Sales Organization. This position requires the ability to communicate strategy concisely and consistently, so business acumen and polished presentation and communication skills need to be your strengths. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience
Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
· The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple senior stakeholder requirements while enabling accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be hyper collaborative and have an analytical background to drive/deliver on rhythms such as month close, forecast, and fiscal planning.
· Drive decisions as needed cross-company (EG, MCAPs, CFT) with senior execs to achieve cost of sale metrics/strong ROI and improved customer experience. Participate and contribute to deliverables associated with the finance and business rhythm such as fiscal year planning and quarterly forecast process/exec reviews.
· Serves as Finance contact for business partners for all revenue, expense, and compliance questions related to reporting and analysis. Contributes insights for financial plans, variance analysis, resource optimization, investments, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), long range planning, and driving margin accountability. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
· Learns and applies the foundational aspects of Microsoft Finance (e.g., financial systems, policies and procedures, key metrics, historical performance, reporting and forecast requirements) and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers of profitability) to collect information, perform technical analysis and modeling, and complete standardized reporting.
· Assembles and summarizes data through data mining and business intelligence to structure reports and financial models for decision support. Leverages statistical analysis, predictive analytics and financial modeling techniques to conduct sophisticated analyses. Acts as subject-matter-expert for data management and operations. Understands history of data procurement, location, methods, issues, and actions taken.
· Improves current methods used in collecting data, developing automated financial reporting and forecasting tools, and creating standard and ad-hoc reports. Learns how advanced technology is leveraged in Finance and across Microsoft to provide greater depth of analysis.
· Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes; drives corrective measures.
· Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance.
· Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust.
