We are looking for a Software Engineer II to help shape the future of our engineering platforms and practices. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure, and intelligent services that accelerate product development in a highly secure environment. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data processing and developing insights in SQL, KQL, Spark or Scala.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing services and platforms in Cloud, preferably Azure.
- 2+ years of experience deploying and managing distributed services or platforms.
- Demonstrated technical ability driving design architecture across multiple product and services dependencies.
- Independently initiates and completes tasks, consistently delivering measurable results aligned with team goals.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Influence and align the platform/product vision by collaborating with partners, product management, and engineering teams.
- Work across the stack — from UI to backend — with a bias for impact and iteration.
- Drive engineering excellence through thoughtful technical design, automated testing, observability, and operational rigor.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, patterns, and best practices in AI, distributed systems, and cloud-native development.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
