The Public Affairs team, part of Microsoft's Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) organization, plays a critical role in this mission.

As the Director, Marketing, Public Affairs you will help lead a cross-functional team to deliver strategic, integrated marketing services in support of priority societal impact, public policy, and community engagement efforts.

Your impact will ensure scale, innovation, creativity, and a compelling representation of Microsoft’s commitment to responsible technology and societal impact.

You will lead strategy, planning, execution, measurement, and operations of campaigns and other related marketing and communication activities that support our commitment to earning trust, expanding opportunity, protecting fundamental rights, and advancing sustainability. You will collaborate with Public Relations (PR)/Comms, subject matter experts, commercial teams, and other marketing and communications professionals within Public Affairs and across the company.

Your leadership is critical to ensure cross-functional project teams made of multi-disciplinary resources including in-house staff and vendor/agency resources, can deliver impact within an evolving public policy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) world.

You will cultivate significant internal and external stakeholder relationships, the development and oversight of highly-matrixed resourcing and operational models, and development of impact measurement solutions. This role is a key stakeholder to partners in Digital, PR/Comms, and Field Enablement across Public Affairs, as well as to CELA program teams, Microsoft Brand and Research & Insight teams, among others. This is a unique role within a unique team requiring a creative, strategic, collaborative, and disciplined "player-coach" leader.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, and we’re dedicated to this mission across every aspect of our company.
