The SME&C Global Sales & Operations (GS&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy into a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the finest results possible. Our team drives insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact on a scale.
We are seeking a Director of Business Management for SME&C GS&O CoPilot & AI Platforms (CAIP) is to drive strategic directives in budget, compliance, headcount, and project portfolio management. This role partners with the CAIP Leader and collaborates with field sales, product marketing, and global channel sales teams to execute the GTM strategy, ensure operational excellence, maintain visibility, align priorities, and optimize outcomes.
Success in this role requires effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and building quality working relationships across diverse teams. You should adapt to feedback, adjust to changing environments, and proactively share ideas to drive business growth.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales OR related work experience.
- 5+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
Field Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year. Responsibilities
- Partner closely with CAIP GTM leaders to orchestrate strategic global cross play planning, execution, and alignment. Drive structure to complexity, aligning multiple workstreams and simplifying key issues for decision-makers.
- Drive cross-solution play initiatives and ensure timely execution of key priorities. Ability to lead complex cross-organizational problem solving and scenario analysis to develop business cases and make data-backed investment decisions.
- Lead and manage business rhythms including leadership meetings, all-hands, and planning cycles while also finding ways to improve operational efficiencies.
- Manage communications and change management across the team.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture by modeling Microsoft’s leadership principles - Model, Coach, Care. Act as a culture champion by facilitating team-wide Culture Conversations and support wellbeing initiatives.
- Orchestrate key people moments such as connects, development conversations, and manager excellence activities to strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, and long-term talent growth.
- Coordinate with finance, Human Resources, and other support functions to ensure operational efficiency. This includes Position Control Number (PCN) and Headcount (HC) management as well as communication to hiring managers.
