We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join Microsoft Specialized Clouds! Microsoft Specialized Clouds (MSC) is at the forefront of delivering industry-leading cloud and edge capabilities for customers with advanced sovereignty, security, and compliance needs. Microsoft Specialized Clouds engineering team is looking to hire talented and highly motivated Software Engineers to be on point for designing and implementing the next-generation Specialized Clouds products and services for customers across the globe. This person will need to be solid technically, with in-depth knowledge and experience in analyzing data and requirements, designing, developing and releasing services or products to end users.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in programming, design and problem-solving skills, with a solid bias for quality and engineering excellence
- 1+ year of experience with modern software development and/or micro service technologies
Other Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Demonstrated ability to learn and grasps concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience identifying and resolving technical issues in production and development environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Practical programming experience in GoLang/C# Languages with Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

- Contribute as an individual contributor while fostering the team culture, helping plan and prioritize work and be accountable for world-class cloud service.
- Design and implement scalable, highly available services
- Drive the implementation and execution to bring the vision to life.
- Apply agile methodologies with a focus on efficiency, iterating quickly and continuous learning.
- Write scalable, maintainable and efficient code following best practices.
