As a Security Solution Area Senior Specialist, you will lead customer conversations around Microsoft’s security solutions, identifying opportunities to protect and empower organisations through Zero Trust principles. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and partners to drive digital sales motions, initiate, qualify and close leads, and guide customers through their security transformation journey.

Qualifications

  • Solid Security technology-related sales or account management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in English and German

In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.

Responsibilities

Strategic Territory Leadership You will lead the end-to-end Security business across assigned territory, owning strategic planning, forecasting, and execution. You will architect and drive a multi-quarter territory plan that aligns with corporate priorities and local market dynamics, ensuring intentional selling and measurable business impact.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement You will build and maintain trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including CISOs and CIOs, to influence strategic security decisions. You will leverage deep industry knowledge and customer insights to shape long-term security transformation strategies and identify emerging opportunities.

Partner Ecosystem Orchestration You will orchestrate a diverse partner ecosystem to deliver integrated security solutions. You will lead joint planning and execution with partners, ensuring alignment on customer outcomes and maximising partner impact.

Compliance & Cybersecurity Solutioning You will lead complex engagements to assess customer compliance and cybersecurity posture, identifying gaps and readiness. You will architect and propose prioritised solutions that align with customer needs, leveraging Microsoft’s security portfolio to articulate business value and technical differentiation.

Deal Acceleration & Closure Strategy You will design and implement advanced close plans for high-value deals, including stakeholder mapping, executive alignment, and risk mitigation strategies. You will lead deal orchestration across internal teams and partners to ensure predictable and accelerated closure.

Digital Transformation Leadership You will initiate and lead strategic conversations with customers on digital transformation, positioning security as a foundational enabler. You will deliver thought leadership through executive briefings, workshops, and industry events, showcasing how Microsoft Security drives innovation and resilience.

Influence & Decision-Maker Engagement You will map and engage external decision-makers and influencers, driving consensus and executive sponsorship. You will represent Microsoft in strategic forums and contribute to shaping customer security strategies through consultative engagement.

Usage Growth & Deployment Leadership You will lead initiatives to drive active usage and business growth with existing customers, ensuring robust deployment plans and removing blockers. You will collaborate with technical teams and partners to validate deployment success and accelerate time-to-value.

Opportunity Creation & Expansion You will proactively identify and qualify new opportunities through portfolio analysis, customer insights, and internal collaboration. You will lead opportunity expansion motions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and driving incremental revenue growth.

Thought Leadership & Mentorship You will serve as a subject matter expert and mentor within the security community, contributing to best practices, enablement, and readiness. You will advocate for diversity, inclusion, and belonging, embodying Microsoft’s culture and values in all engagements.
