Americas Business & Sales Operations (BSO) is the center of excellence for cross-business execution performance, strategy & planning, and sales operations. We drive business transformation, operationalize programs, and accelerate Microsoft’s objectives across the Americas.
We are looking to hire a Director, Sales Operations – Resource Design in Americas BSO to lead headcount and capacity planning for the Americas, partnering across BSO, Finance, and field leadership to ensure optimal workforce alignment and delivery excellence. You will be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, driving clarity, transparency, and rigor in all aspects of resource planning and utilization. The successful candidate will be data driven and analytic, enjoy problem solving and develop effective partnerships across the Americas Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team, operating unit chief of staff and business manager communities, core teams including WW customer success (CSU), and finance teams to support execution.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years leading strategic deliverables with executive sales leaders, delivering data-driven insights, and building trusted partnerships across complex, enterprise sales organizations.
- 6+ years of enterprise experience with ANY of the following: capacity planning, resource planning, customer segmentation, quota management, territory design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND 12+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field.
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related field
- Experience leading business management and analysis for sales organizations.
- Advanced analytical skills; proficiency with PowerBI, Excel, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing business environments.

Sales Operations IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Americas Capacity & Headcount planning – Partner with WW CSU, Americas SE&O and field operating unit teams to lead headcount forecasting, capacity modeling, and workforce planning with specific focus on capacity & demand driven roles. Ensure plans and resource allocations are accurate, actionable, and aligned to business priorities.
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop and deliver actionable insights on workforce utilization, ramp, and delivery mix for leaders across the business.
- Optimize Resource Allocation: Identify opportunities to improve coverage, efficiency, and utilization. Lead scenario planning and recommend tradeoffs to maximize impact within fiscal guardrails and within the Americas hiring process.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with BSO, finance, field operating units including CSU leaders, and WW CSU teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for capacity driven headcount, resolving escalations and driving consensus.
- Lead in Sales transformation - Contribute ideas for Americas BSO to give time back to field, improve our workflow, influence WW teams, and enable continuous improvement for sales operations processes. Innovate to deliver standards which enable speed, efficiency, and scale in the business.
