Are you passionate about uncovering insights and leveraging data to drive strategic marketing decisions? Global Marketing Engines and Experiences (E&E) provides the foundation for all Marketing engines, data, technology, and digital experiences across the commercial marketing organization. This allows us to streamline how we plan, execute, and report on all of Microsoft’s marketing activities around the world, and ensure we communicate with our customers using a consistent voice and approach across paid and organic touchpoints.
As a member of the Global Marketing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Team, you'll be at the forefront of increasing organic search and AI platform visibility and improving performance for our portfolio of commercial products including Azure, GitHub, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Microsoft Security, and more.
We are seeking a Technical AI Search Engine Optimization (AISEO) manager with strong analytical, presentation, interpersonal, and persuasive skills to join our team so that it can deliver transformational optimization strategies to variety of internal leaders and departments. Your colleagues will consist of full-time employees, contractors, and an outsourced agency that have worked together to produce insightful data analysis about our global customers and competitors.
In this role, you will research, develop, and execute a technical optimization strategy for the Microsoft commercial Marketing portfolio that will increase visibility in AI-generated responses. One day you might be presenting findings on how AI platforms crawl, render, and index web content, and the next you might be writing requirements for web developers. Your work will help drive visibility and web traffic for our brands, products, and services.
This opportunity will allow you to deepen your knowledge of cutting-edge AISEO techniques, gain experience working with large-scale websites, and develop your leadership skills by teaching others. You will also have the chance to work with the latest SEO and AI technologies, staying ahead of—and helping to define—industry trends.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience building strategies directly targeting AISEO AND LLM (Large Language Model) search.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience in web development, programming, engineering, or related technical field
Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Builds and drives components of a digital channel (e.g., Web, relationship marketing, social media, digital acquisition, search engine optimization [SEO]/search engine marketing [SEM]) plan that is aligned to business and audience priorities. Develops and manages measurement of plan or components of plan. Develops reports and analyses of customer metrics. Assists with the creation of reports and analyses of customer metrics to identify opportunities to improve customer engagement by collaborating with engine owners.
- Assesses and recommends new areas of opportunity to support business needs, leveraging breadth of customer segment knowledge. Utilizes customer targeting, segmentation tools, and various metrics to continually update and improve on customer experiences (e.g., deliver differentiated programs by scenario).Recommends priorities for integrated marketing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with business groups, Product Marketing, and Business Planning teams to discuss potential go-to-market (GTM) strategy, plans, launch activities, customer segmentation, and/or promotional strategies that drive revenue growth via customer engagement and monetization for products within a single business area. Uses breadth of knowledge of customer segments to identify new areas of investigation and optimize the scope of research to help address specific business needs.
- Develops plans and strategies for marketing campaigns, programs and promotions for a limited range of business areas by collaborating with internal teams (e.g., Product Marketing, Business Operations, Campaign Management, Business Intelligence, Engineering). Share insights, aligns priorities, and documents campaign planning and execution decisions through internal collaboration. Supports the development and curation of content and customer journeys designed to engage customers while taking diversity, inclusion, and accessibility into consideration.
- Supports program leadership and internal partners in the development of program execution. Contributes to specific workstreams in support of the program execution. Gathers and helps track necessary modifications to programs. Coordinates with Product Marketing to gather necessary inputs. Supports the development of engaging customer experiences by tracking customer feedback and working with customer support teams.
- Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) for a program, product, audience, or engine to identify and share insights that may affect marketing and business planning decision making through a regular rhythm of business (ROB) of reporting and business review meetings. Helps define which key KPIs should be used to measure the success of the business. Defines and manages the execution of test and learn experiments to improve business outcomes within a single product or business area, often partnering with engineering and analytics teams.
- Recommends actions based on results and presents those recommendations to senior audiences. Identifies potentially impactful trends and recommendations, and shares relevant details with internal stakeholders. Examines performance data and trends (e.g., financial, operational, product) to develop insights and make recommendations for corrective actions and optimization, with guidance as needed. Utilizes diversity, inclusion, and accessibility metrics to diagnose risk areas and opportunities and track the progress of Microsoft marketing initiatives.
- Assists with the development of a project management plan (e.g., stakeholder map, communication plan) to drive delivery for projects of low complexity or to support senior colleagues in components of projects by leveraging existing materials to drive scope and resources. Manages finances for projects with small scopes and budgets by tracking financial metrics and ensuring budgetary targets are met, engaging senior colleagues as needed. Helps ensure that the allocated budget is properly spent and in alignment with business objectives.
- Provides regular project status updates for small deals and ensures stakeholders are informed. Tracks and maintains customer deliverables. Supports development of stakeholder relationships and escalates issues and ambiguous situations to senior colleagues as needed. Engages with team members to analyze results, identify themes, and generate business recommendations. Provides written and oral communications to participate in the transfer of knowledge and storytelling with internal teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Defines the all-up technical (Artificial Intelligence Search Engine Optimization (AISEO) strategy and plan for the full Microsoft commercial Marketing portfolio. Conducts research on how AI platforms discover and index web content, and you will complete competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform our tactics. You will monitor technical AISEO trends and algorithm changes, always staying ahead of updates to ensure the company’s strategies remain competitive.
- Advocates for technical AISEO within Marketing, educating stakeholders and championing organic search as a growth channel. You will monitor and report on technical AISEO performance, using tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, and internal dashboards to surface insights and recommend optimizations.
- Manages integrated marketing program execution planning, as well as help develop program recommendations. You’ll also identify solutions that address inefficiencies, and collaborate with Product Marketing to identify the business objectives a program can support.
- Analyzes KPIs, then share insights that will advance business impact. You’ll also recommend actions to executive leaders based on those results, as well as use performance data to develop insights and make improvement recommendations.
- Drives medium complexity projects by developing a detailed project management plan, as well as manage finances for projects with mid-sized to large budgets.
- Develops and execute communication plans to share progress, blockers, and learnings.
