Overview

The Industry Partner Solutions (IPS) organization is responsible for accelerating revenue and share growth by empowering customers and partners to securely transform with Microsoft Cloud, AI, Windows devices, and experiences. Within IPS, Windows and Devices Sales (WDS) combines the build and sell motions of Windows and device solutions to delight Commercial and Consumer customers worldwide.

As part of WDS, the Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market, and sell breakthrough AI-powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and Silicon providers. We work closely across the device partner ecosystem and internal teams to transform the world of computing. Opportunities in DPS are expansive!

The Senior Business Program Manager supports the Device Partner Sales organization, playing a critical role in driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and execution across key initiatives. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, legal, business strategy, and more, fostering broad organizational impact and collaboration. This role supports Microsoft’s partners by lowering breach risks and promoting fair competition across sales channels.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ experience leading strategic initiatives from design through implementation

Additional/preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong consultative and executive communication skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor and partner champion.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a mindset for continuous learning, innovation, and change leadership.
  • Demonstrated capability to contribute effectively to a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Business acumen with focus on monetization, creativity, and strategic thinking skills, complemented by a proactive approach to problem-solving and navigating ambiguity.
  • A track record of delivering results through high-level collaboration.
  • Able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, as well as negotiate and collaborate effectively.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, showing the utmost discretion in the management of confidential corporate information.
  • Comfortable influencing decision-making, taking on big challenges, advocating a position, building a business case, and influencing others.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Partner across organizations to land thru partner/to customer value of Genuine across the DPS ecosystem

  • Evangelize complex programs to stakeholders to gain buy in. Leverages data and performance metrics to demonstrate the value of the program and show business impact through storytelling and scorecards.
  • Facilitate coordination across business, operations, and partner teams to drive clarity, accountability, and timely decision-making.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools, and rhythms to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic programs and special projects
