We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join our team!
This is an exciting time to join our group and work on something highly strategic to Microsoft. With the BIC Security team, you will be a part of a team of security engineers who perform threat modelling, penetration testing, and security response support for the platform.
This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week in Microsoft's offices in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field AND 3+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field AND 4+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience in cloud environments, or hybrid cloud services.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of intrusion detection systems, security solutions, Azure and how they intersect with security workflows.
- Effective communication skills including the ability to create clear documentation and data schemas.
- Experience collaborating and establishing cross-team partnerships to bolster information sharing and coordinate strategies.
Security Assurance IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
• Creating platform and customer facing detections of abuse.
• Creating security context enrichment tools for threat hunters and detections.
• Coordinating with Microsoft detection ecosystem and threat hunters.
• Reviewing Audit logs for schema conformance, content, and correctness.
• Collaborating with penetration testing to ensure appropriate auditing.
