Overview

Our team’s goal is to make Microsoft 365 the most secure, efficient and scalable service in the world. As part of that, we create managed platforms that allow Microsoft 365 engineering teams develop and release new services to their customers.

As an experienced and technical Senior Product Manager, you will drive strategy and roadmap for Kubernetes based infrastructure platform, with a focus on enabling Linux workloads and partnering closely with engineering teams to build and deliver world class software systems at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Containers.

Other Requirements:


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management
    • OR software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Understanding or experience with building software platforms and of the software development process.
  • Design thinking, structured problem solving, data driven decision making and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to build vision and roadmap for complex areas.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Driving growth strategy and roadmap for the product.
  • Evangelizing the product to new customers across Microsoft.
  • Working with diverse stakeholders to clarify product requirements, including platform owners, a diverse set of customer engineering teams, and compliance auditors.
  • Working with Microsoft 365 and Azure teams to drive new features and ensuring business continuity for all customers on this platform.
  • Managing the backlog and priority for your feature areas, ensuring features land on time, and with high quality.
  • Delivering an enterprise grade platform to the customers, across various clouds following GTM strategies.
  • Establish a network of partnerships with technical leaders across the company.
