Overview

The Commercial Creative & Social Team — a high-velocity creative team focused on developing customer-centric digital content that powers the marketing funnel for Microsoft’s commercial cloud products — is looking for a Creative Strategist.

In this role, you’ll bridge strategic planning and creative execution, translating marketing objectives into bold, insight-led content experiences that drive engagement and conversion. You’ll collaborate with marketers, creatives, producers, and agency partners to deliver assets that span campaign concepts, video, visuals, eBooks, and more. From content mapping to creative asset delivery, you’ll ensure the customer experience is consistent, purposeful, and aligned with brand standards.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) related experience with a portfolio/case studies demonstrating audience-first creative strategy across digital marketing touchpoints.
  • 1+ year(s) experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including creatives, marketers, and agency partners.
  • Previous experience in integrated campaign development and omnichannel content strategy.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in tech or enterprise marketing, especially to business decision-makers, IT, or developer audiences.
  • Previous experience with digital marketing funnel and buyer journey.
  • Previous experience with storytelling, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with creative development processes, workflows, and agency operations.
  • Working knowledge of AI content tools and data-informed content creation frameworks.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a matrixed environment.
Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Translate integrated marketing strategies into content roadmaps and asset plans across digital channels (web, paid, social, etc.).
  • Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, copywriters, and agency partners to deliver customer-centric creative that meets business goals.
  • Define and document content strategies and campaign structures to guide asset creation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across marketing, product, and channel teams to align creative outputs with messaging priorities and audience needs.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of creative assets, from intake to execution, across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure creative is aligned to Microsoft’s brand voice, design systems, and accessibility standards.
  • Leverage audience insights and performance data to inform strategic direction and creative iteration.
  • Champion innovation in storytelling, including the integration of generative AI tools to accelerate content development.
