Overview
Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on empowering customers on their AI journey. This team is responsible for envisioning new possibilities for our customers, delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.
As a Public Sector Leader and senior member of The Netherlands leadership team, you will build and accelerate the momentum of AI transformation for Enterprise Public Sector customers and partners, as well as for Microsoft and deliver on short-term and long-term financial goals and responsibilities. You will report to the Area Vice President of The Netherlands and oversee the Public Sector segment, which includes Education, Healthcare, Cities and Regions, and Central Government.
As a senior leader and sales coach, you will be fluent in sales-leadership practices and lead with vision, simplicity, and execution on a determined growth strategy. Collaborate with key leaders/stakeholders across the organization to build a sustaining growth engine that is cohesive, resilient, and optimized. Drive joint, continuous business planning and alignment with internal and external audiences. In addition, this role has people management responsibilities including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance.

Qualifications
- Strong Sales Experience in the Public Sector in The Netherlands is strongly preferred for this role.
- Driving Digital Transformation within the Public Sector is preferred.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Sales Manager/Director experience along with a background in managing teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organization OR equivalent experience
Responsibilities
As the Public Sector Lead, you will lead an organization of account teams to create and foster long-term relationships, delivering value to enterprise customers. You will be considered a leader in the following areas:
- Growth and AI Transformational Sales Leadership - You will exceed Revenue, Consumption, Usage and Customer Satisfaction Goals. Lead the transformation of our sales teams through frictionless cross-team orchestration to ensure we deliver value and satisfaction for all enterprise Public Sector customers as One Microsoft. Build business and go to market models that address company strategy within constraints of country / area maturity and resource limitations
- Customer, Partner and Market Thought Leadership - You will become the trusted advisor and spokesperson in the Netherlands Public Sector industry and regulatory and policy environments, thereby opening doors and removing barriers for our sales teams, partners, and customers. Motivate Sales Managers and Sellers, to enable business and technical outcomes, providing value to our customers throughout their AI journey in a customer centric manner. Demonstrate partner advocacy and sponsorship to drive scale and share through co–selling.
- People Leadership - In conjunction with the sales managers, commit to attracting, leading, developing, and retaining a diverse and inclusive sales organization that is motivated and agile. Foster an inspirational coaching culture that empowers the team to deliver and continuously learn.
