Microsoft ASEAN is multi-billion-dollar operating unit that serves 6 diverse & vibrant sub-regions: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam. As part of the greater Asia region, we work with a vast network of partners to enable digital transformation of commercial & public sector customers in their quest achieve more.

The Asean Finance team partners closely with the sales & marketing teams to identify growth opportunities, accelerate revenue, optimize resources allocation, nurture a strong compliance culture, and deliver upon statutory & tax local requirements.

The team is structured in 4 main groups: Compliance, Stat&Tax, Country Finance, and Area Headquarter Finance, and its members are geographically distributed across all Asean countries.

As the Enterprise Finance Manager, you will be the finance business partner for the Enterprise segment leads for Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.

You will partner closely to drive the operational rigor, forecast precision and revenue performance. You will also be advising on deal structuring & economics and ensure strong & compliant execution on the ground.

You will deliver these outcomes by partnering very closely with your finance colleagues (ASEAN Country Finance, S&T team, ASEAN HQ Finance and Asia Finance). As such, you are expected to play a key role in facilitating cross team collaboration.

You will also be the closest to our customers, as such customer centricity is paramount. You are expected to be on the frontline with our commercial team delivering the value of our Microsoft solutions through advising on deal investments/negotiations and to ensure Microsoft’s investments are utilized well to drive end customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details

Preferred Qualifications;

  • 5+ years of experience in finance positions. Previous business partnership finance roles is a differentiator
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fluid/uncertain environment.
  • Ability to influence, establish credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Finance Manager is the Finance Partner to the Country segment leads for Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines. The successful candidate must have a growth mindset, act as an entrepreneur that drives business impact, and continuously learn and innovate. You have a capability to actively contribute and build strong collaboration within diverse and virtual teams. You display a can-do attitude and able to lead projects and processes improvements autonomously.

Your core responsibilities are focused around our four key pillars:

  • Ensures Segment accuracy in forecasting across solution areas, maintaining precision of critical workloads in partnership with Cloud Solution Analysts
  • Highlight business performance drivers ensuring action against key metrics (IQRR, MACC2ACR, Migrations, etc.) to optimize outcomes.
  • Continually monitor resource allocation, ROI and drive strong opex execution on the ground (e.g. ECIF)
  • Drive IAP Rigor to accelerate Top of the funnel and Qualified pipeline across all critical workloads, utilizing whitespace analytics

AI Transformation

  • Leverage deep actionable insights to drive topline revenue, product adoption and value delivered to our customers.
  • Influence deal structuring by partnering with CE and Deal Desk, ensuring focus on deal economics (esp., concessions) to drive optimal ROI and customer transformation outcomes.. Collaborate for high quality business case submission for AWR/ DWR forums
  • Drive collaboration with key functions to support deal constructs. Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.

Security

  • Lead a strong compliance culture by driving Business Led Compliance Rhythm (BLCR) within the segment, focusing on sales deal execution and High-Risk Due Diligence (HRDD). Monitor high ACO/ECIF deals, particularly multi-year agreements.
  • Proactively manage risks, cooperate with audits, and promote transparency in all dealings.
