Overview

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Product Manager to join the Teams CMD group, focusing on the Teams Events experience. This role is critical for driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Teams Events, with a strong emphasis on event scheduling, mobile and web experiences, and seamless integration with internal and external partners. You will play a pivotal role in managing stakeholder relationships, gathering feedback, and ensuring that Teams Events meets the evolving needs of organizers and attendees.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, especially in matrixed or global organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and telemetry analysis.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Deep customer empathy and a passion for solving real-world problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in large-scale consumer or enterprise software.
  • Experience in event management, scheduling, or collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook, Zoom, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mobile-first and web-first product development.
  • Prior experience supporting product launches and managing stakeholder communications in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Teams Events, aligning with the broader CMD and Microsoft Teams vision.
  • Lead end-to-end product development for event scheduling and management features, from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality delivery and user satisfaction.
  • Champion the development of mobile and web experiences for Teams Events, enabling organizers and attendees to manage and participate in events on-the-go, and ensuring parity with desktop capabilities.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholder management, coordinating with engineering, design, partner teams, and external collaborators to clarify requirements, resolve dependencies, and drive consensus on priorities
  • Facilitate communication and alignment among multiple teams, including managing feedback loops, addressing stakeholder concerns, and ensuring timely updates on project milestones and integration timelines
  • Use data-driven insights, customer feedback, and telemetry to prioritize features and continuously improve the Teams Events experience.
  • Collaborate with design and research to deliver intuitive, accessible, and delightful event experiences for Teams users across all platforms.
  • Represent the Teams Events product in executive reviews, roadmap planning, and cross-org initiatives.
  • Support the rollout of new features, manage change communications, and help mitigate risks related to user adoption and event scalability (e.g., supporting large attendee counts)
