Overview
As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Create team, you will lead the Responsible AI practices and processes across these products. You will collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and compliance teams to ensure AI features are designed, developed, and deployed in alignment with Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles. Your work will help safeguard user trust, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and cross-team projects focused on AI products; encompassing areas such as AI audit, responsible AI, and AI trust/privacy.
- 4+ years delivering customer and business impact across complex products and services
- 4+ years experience successful design, delivery, and iteration on complex projects partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in program/product management
- OR equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of generative AI products and responsible AI policies across the industry.
- Practical experience in leveraging large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, or other AI models to address real-world user challenges.
- Possess strong customer empathy and a user-centric approach, with a proven track record in conducting user research and testing.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effectively utilizing data and metrics to implement responsible AI policies and conduct thorough audits.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of clearly articulating complex concepts and effectively influencing diverse audiences.
- A passion for innovation and creativity, paired with a willingness to experiment and learn from failures.
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic, agile, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end Responsible AI program for Create team, from requirements gathering to RAI reviews.
- Define, document, and maintain Responsible AI processes for Create team, ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate Responsible AI principles into product design and development.
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies for AI features, including fairness, privacy, transparency, and accountability.
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews and audits of AI systems, collaborating with compliance, legal, and research teams.
- Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
- Track and report on key metrics related to Responsible AI adoption, effectiveness, and impact.
- Continuously improve Responsible AI processes based on feedback, data, and evolving best practices.
