Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in applying machine learning techniques and drive end-to-end AI product development.
- 1+ years working with Large Language Models.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python -OR- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to influence others and to understand team dynamics.
- Ability to retain and develop other team members.
- Customer obsessed and passionate about product impact.
- Experience with Prompt optimizations and Agentic systems.
- Solid cross team collaboration skills.
- Grounded in growth mindset, and ability to advocate for diversity and inclusion.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Be a technical leader for engineers, owning project efforts and being accountable end-to-end.
- Work closely with leadership to identify necessary engineering investments, define clear requirements, scope solutions, estimate effort, and schedule deliverables.
- Lead initiatives to automate infrastructure provisioning across clouds and operationalize at scale by reducing incident volume, analyzing incidents globally, and delivering broad resolutions.
- Apply sound engineering principles to establish robust, maintainable architectures and designs.
- Champion and drive the adoption of high-quality coding standards and best practices.
