As a Travel Program Manager in Finance Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across global enterprise business travel programs (Air, Hotel and Ground Transportation). Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Travel Program Management experience

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience in process excellence within Shared Service Center or outsourcing environments
  • Solid strategic and operational business skills
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and using data to influence business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to build trust and foster collaborative, mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Project management experience with a track record of implementing change
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or related disciplines preferred

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze travel program data to identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate travel program value and impact using data-driven storytelling, dashboards, and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs).
  • Lead change management initiatives by defining vision, securing sponsorship, and driving adoption through structured communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and execute communication and landing plans outlining sourcing strategies for execution.
  • Collaborate across teams (e.g., Procurement, Engineering, HR, Mobility, Compliance) and external partners to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Drive governance and compliance across outsourced travel operations, including innovation, SLA adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead business reviews and use analytics to monitor program health, assess risks, and optimize execution—including program adjustments as needed.
  • Identify root causes of process issues and implement improvements to standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Enhance traveler experience through program initiatives and content control to deliver optimized value to Microsoft.
  • Ensure all program activities align with organizational strategy and maintain a strong control environment.
  • Manage a portfolio of process excellence projects supporting initiatives such as automation, RFP transitions, and global process standardization.
