Overview

Are you energized by the potential of AI to transform how we work, create and explore day-to-day? We are seeking a strategic, data-driven senior product marketing manager to join the Copilot consumer product marketing team.

In this critical role, you’ll lead efforts to drive adoption of Copilot across Microsofts flagship consumer products, like Windows and productivity apps. Working closely with product, marketing, finance and business planning teams, you’ll build a portfolio of initiatives to acquire and upsell users, using growth marketing techniques across paid and owned channels, continuously optimizing for impact.

We’re looking for a marketer with a track record of driving meaningful user growth in freemium or subscription businesses. Combining deep user empathy with sharp strategic insights, and an eye on competitive offerings, you can spot the needle-moving opportunities and go after them with determination.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in product marketing or growth marketing for consumer tech products
  • Experience driving growth for freemium or subscription-based businesses
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward experimentation
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and storytelling skills
  • Familiarity and understanding of consumer compete landscape and AI products.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve growth strategies to drive free and paid user acquisition across Windows and desktop endpoints, delivering against ambitious business targets.
  • Design and scale experiments across paid media, social, creator partnerships, lifecycle marketing, and product-connected surfaces, in collaboration with channel owners.
  • Harness audience and usage insights to shape creative, messaging, and targeting strategies, identifying high-potential growth segments and unlocking new demand.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape for consumer AI products, surfacing opportunities to differentiate and break through with bold, user-centric marketing.
  • Analyze performance and optimize, refining strategies to improve ROI, accelerate adoption, and unlock scalable growth, challenging working models to drive efficiency and innovation.
