The Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment within SME&C is at the leading edge of growth and transformation. It’s a tremendous growth engine for the company dedicated to bringing the Microsoft cloud to millions of SMB customers worldwide through scalable routes to market, growing revenue, market share and net new customers while enabling a high level of customer and partner experience.

As a Commercial Executive, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leading the design and execution of commercial strategy and negotiations. You will be responsible for selling the right commercial solution at the right time, ensuring every deal is compliant, profitable, and aligned with Microsoft’s strategic goals. This role is pivotal in driving customer success through commercial excellence and strategic engagement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial sales, deal negotiation, or business development.
  • Proven ability to manage complex deals and customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology or cloud services industry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s MCEM framework and commercial tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy development and execution for assigned accounts or segments.
  • Drive deal structuring, pricing, and negotiation aligned with customer needs and Microsoft’s business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all commercial engagements.
  • Collaborate with account teams, finance, legal, and operations to deliver seamless deal execution.
  • Analyze market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities and optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Champion Microsoft’s values and contribute to a culture of inclusion, integrity, and innovation.
