Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or applying design thinking to solve problems).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to product design across the full development lifecycle, from concept through implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of relevant internship or work experience
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields AND 2+ years of related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience applying design thinking to solve product or service challenges).
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the delivery of user-facing products or services through an end-to-end design process.

Product Design IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $67,100 - CAD $131,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to create user-centered solutions for Microsoft Teams.
  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions, contributing ideas for new features and product improvements.
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows.
  • Document design decisions and maintain specifications for assigned features.
  • Support user research and usability testing by incorporating feedback into design iterations.
  • Work with engineering teams to support accurate implementation of design solutions.
  • Practice a growth mindset by engaging in mentorship, learning new tools, and exploring evolving design practices.
