Microsoft for Startups adopts a comprehensive approach to fostering success, partnering with venture capitalists and accelerators to identify and support the most promising startups. By working closely with startup leaders, we empower them to leverage Microsoft’s extensive resources and global business-to-business (B2B) market reach.
The Pegasus team has reinvented how Microsoft works with startups by connecting founders with strategic industry verticals like Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), HealthcareHealthcare and Life Sciences, Retail, and Space, CyberCyber Security. This global team takes a 360-degree approach to building success by partnering with Venture Capitalists (VCsVCs), Industry Organizations, and field teams to identify the most promising startups and guiding them on how to leverage Microsoft assets and drive success through our global B2B marketplace. This role executes against the global startup recruit strategy for Pegasus, a program that accelerates top-line growth for B2B startups at the Product Market Fit stage.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, marketing, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development, or related field)
- OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years in the technology space, with communication and stakeholder management skills, in addition to an understanding of cloud infrastructure, business applications, and vertical technology.
- 5+ years of demonstrated startup ecosystem experience, with a deep understanding of global startup and VC trends and empathy for founder challenges.
- 5+ years committed to fostering inclusion and collaboration within diverse teams, while building trusted relationships with startup founders.
- 5+ years of skills in market analysis, lead generation, and leveraging third-party research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
- 5+ years of familiarity with cloud infrastructure and business applications, with the ability to track engagement metrics and navigate CRM tools effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in Sales, Business Development, Program Management, or Customer Engagement.

Responsibilities
- You will work within a team of Recruit Leads to find and select startups for inclusion into this exclusive program. This will require you to have familiarity and passion for the startup ecosystem and tech landscape.
- You will have existing industry knowledge from your work experience and a desire to perform further research through first-party customer discovery, third-party data sources, and cross-functional collaboration with other Microsoft teams.
- You’ll work directly with startups and leverage your startup ecosystem network to extend the reach of your recruitment efforts.
- You’ll work both independently and alongside other members of the team, listening and learning directly from startups and enterprises, and ensuring we are making informed business decisions.
- You will need a deep understanding of and passion for the global startup ecosystem.
- Your efforts will be measured against a clear set of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure we can measure progress and course correct where needed; a desire to dive deep into data and analytics is a must.
