We are looking to hire hands-on Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to join our diverse, talented, high performance, and innovative Technical Success team within the Analytics & AI focus area.
As a Cloud Solution Architect aligned to the Azure Analytics & AI platform for Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, you will enable customers to achieve their outcomes based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your Microsoft Azure Analytics & AI technical subject matter expertise, you will lead technical conversations with customers and Microsoft colleagues, driving value to their organization. This is a hands-on role that includes accelerating customer adoption by building Analytics & AI solutions and identifying resolutions to unblock customer success projects for the Analytics & AI Factory.

Qualifications

- 3 years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1-3 years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1-3 year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience
- Experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, with a specific focus on Data and Analytics technologies and good knowledge AI.
- Experience acquired from Partner, End customer.
Required Technical Skills
- Deep Domain Expertise in Azure Analytics & Database Areas: Domain expertise in one of the Azure Analytics & Database specific areas OR hands-on experience working with the respective products at the expert level.
- Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power BI embedded, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse
- Cosmos DB, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL
- Architecting Enterprise-Grade Solutions: The ability to create and explain 3-tier architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, system interaction diagrams, etc. Proven experience building enterprise-grade, Analytics -focused solutions on the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks) for customers, from Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) leading to production deployments.
Addition preferred skills
- Programming Languages and Integration: Knowledge with Spark, Python, C#, R, JavaScript, or similar programming languages in the context of application development, and ability to integrate Azure AI with other services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Docker, API Management).
- Proficient on data warehouse & big data migration including on-prem appliance (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle), Hadoop (Cloudera, Hortonworks)
- ML & ML Ops, knowledge on GenAI Apps & LLM Ops
- Generative AI and Responsible AI: Knowledge of current and emerging AI technology, including Generative AI technology applications and use cases (including, but not limited to, Large Language Models) and Foundational models toolsets. Also, knowledge including ethical considerations, bias mitigation, and fairness.
- Competitive Landscape: Understanding the competitive landscape is valuable, candidates should be aware of key Analytics platforms beyond Azure, such as AWS and GCP.
- Soft Skills are also critical to be successful in that job : Creative Thinking, Active Listening, oral and written communication more particularly.
Responsibilities
- Customer Centricity
- Play a pivotal role in the Analytics & AI Factory, providing technical enablement, operational support, and strategic engagement across customer projects. This role is designed to ensure successful delivery of Data and Analytics solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and support innovation through pilot evaluations and advanced use case development. Understand customers' overall data estate, business priorities, and IT success measures.
- Understand customers’ overall Data estate Business and IT priorities and success measures to design Data platforms that drive business value.
- Facilitate scalable delivery through strong technical program management utilizing a factory model/approach, driving program awareness and demand across the regional operating units. Attend in-flight project status meetings to monitor progress and identify support needs. Engage directly with complex or non-standard customer use cases beyond existing accelerators. Participate in intake reviews for milestone sizing, objection handling, and technical scoping.
- Customer Satisfaction - Drive positive Customer Satisfaction & become a trusted advisor.
- Ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
- Customer/Partner Insights – Provide feedback & insights from customers/partners.

- Ability to convey the business need and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers. This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy
- Consumption (Cloud & Support) growth - Develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments.
- Resolution of Customer Blockers - Identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to MS best practices & using repeatable Intellectual Property (IP)
- Identify and contribute repeatable IP and assets that create velocity in deployment and drives customer value. Continuously look to improve upon these assets utilizing the best of field inputs. Evaluate pilot opportunities for potential integration into existing offerings.
- Architect Solutions: Apply technical knowledge to design solutions aligned with business and IT needs. Create Data and Analytics platforms roadmaps, lead POCs and MVPs, and ensure long-term technical viability.
- Technical Leadership
- Ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies
- Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
- Learn It All - Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the AI technical community while educating customers on Azure platform.
