This role is based at the Redmond campus with 3 days per week work on-site and 2 days per week work from home.

The Supplier Strategy Director will own a portfolio of supplier sourcing and contractual engagements, and you will establish relationships by building trust with internal and external stakeholders. As director, you will develop and execute supplier sourcing strategies that will help meet MSD business outcomes.

You will lead and have responsibility over supplier strategy, negotiations and contracting, supplier management, and compliance with key stakeholders and partners across the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 9+ years experience (including internships) in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Negotiations, or Program Management.

Sourcing and Category Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Driving key supplier sourcing & selection initiatives with results
  • Relationship management and engagement with external and internal partners
  • Leverages technology, especially Microsoft’s Copilot and other Microsoft applications to improve output and increase efficiency.
  • Solid business acumen
  • Understanding of overall supplier strategy including planning, sourcing and execution.
  • Leading a team in definition and implementation of supplier strategy for MSD portfolio of IT engineering and technical services, software, SaaS, networking and hardware.
  • Defining core goals and working to meet them
