Mojang Studios is seeking a Franchise Business Manager to support the Business Operations team in driving strategic execution and operational excellence across the studio. In this role, you will manage the team’s rhythm of business, support budgeting and forecasting efforts, and help prepare for executive engagements. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on priorities, track performance against goals, and support data-driven decision making. This position plays a critical role in enabling effective execution and driving impact across Mojang’s globally beloved Minecraft franchise.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience preparing materials and briefings for senior leadership or executive stakeholders.
  • 4+ years of experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, or other quantitative forecasting methods.
  • 4+ years of experience in developing and monitoring budgets using forecasting techniques and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing the rhythm of business operations, including meeting logistics, action tracking, and executive engagement.
  • Experience partnering with internal teams to align strategies, communications, and performance metrics.

Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
