Overview
The AI Innovation Lead for the EMEA Business & Sales Operations team is responsible for spearheading the adoption, implementation, and optimization of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to drive sales efficiency, effectiveness, and growth across the EMEA region. This role combines strong technical acumen with business strategy and change management, partnering closely with sales, operations, GTM, and other stakeholders to transform sales processes through AI-driven initiatives.
The AI Innovation Lead role is a key operational enabler that scales beyond the EMEA Business & Sales Operations team. The role is expected to: (1) partner with corporate, regional, and local stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI to boost productivity and demonstrate real impact; (2) prioritize processes that can be automated and optimized through AI solutions; and, (3) lead landing and change management activities across the EMEA regional organization and its subsidiaries to drive usage & adoption of AI tools.
The AI Innovation Lead enables the EMEA Business & Sales Operations organization to be customer zero for AI innovation, allowing our team to achieve a greater business impact via new technical capabilities. Strong candidates are self-starters who want to learn it all. Technical aptitude and a deep knowledge of sales operations processes & tools at Microsoft are a must.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND deponstrable experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND proven experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
Partner with corporate, regional, and local stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI to boost productivity and demonstrate real impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, define requirements, and design AI-powered tools and dashboards tailored to regional challenges, in partnership with our BI and Sales Operations teams.
- Partner with the worldwide AI Transformation team to pilot AI automation & enablement activities focusing on revenue operations, BI, sales enablement, and related processes.
- Work closely with Sales Operations, Sales Excellence, GTM, Finance, and related functions to define workflows that can be automated to increase business agility and improve sales execution.
- Partner with GTM and marketing to create compelling sales and marketing collateral that shows Microsoft is using AI to optimize processes and increase business impact.
Prioritize processes that can be automated and optimized through AI solutions
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions to streamline sales operations, enhance forecasting accuracy, and improve overall sales productivity across the region in partnership with EMEA Sales Excellence and Sales Operations teams.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, including ideation, proof-of-concept, piloting, scaling, and performance measurement to demonstrate real business impact that we can share with customers and partners.
- Own the list of top three AI customer zero priorities for the EMEA Business & Sales Operations team and drive progress weekly.
- Monitor trends in AI and data analytics to proactively recommend innovative solutions that align with organizational goals, based on evolving business needs.
Lead landing and change management activities across the EMEA regional organization and its subsidiaries to drive usage & adoption of AI tools
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards in all AI solutions owned by the EMEA Business & Sales Operations team.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the sales operations function
- Drive deployment, adoption, and usage of AI solutions across the organization focusing on use cases and benefits by audience.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for AI within the Business & Sales Operations team, providing guidance, training, and support to team members and stakeholders as needed.
