Overview
The team’s charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a Senior Accounting Manager, Cloud Supply Chain, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing the accounting processes and controls for Microsoft’s Cloud Supply Chain. The role will be involved with a multi-billion dollar asset portfolio influencing the design of systems & processes, providing key insight to business partners, and executing monthly financial close processes. The role will collaborate with Microsoft partners globally, including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for the Cloud Infrastructure.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in fixed asset accounting.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated strong analytical, collaboration, and time management skills, with examples of cross-functional teamwork and successful project delivery.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of management.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and SOX.
- Demonstrated experience in systems and process improvement.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working in ambiguous environments; experience influencing decisions across complex, multi-national organizations and building effective internal business partnerships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with excellent attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines under pressure.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and supply chain asset management to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Design and execute scalable accounting and reporting solutions for stakeholders, enabling optimal systems, processes, and key analysis insights.
- Partner with Finance to drive insight and clarity in accounting and asset management, providing guidance to inform business decisions and financial planning.
- Participate as a high-performing team member in Cloud Controllership Enablement, contributing thought leadership and supporting monthly financial close processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and Microsoft Policy, enabling controls to safeguard assets and support accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to meet regulatory, statutory, and audit compliance requirements, building and managing close partnerships across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business.
