Overview

In today's digital age, the ability to effectively engage audiences through short form content and social platforms is crucial. Short Form Skilling is about leveraging these platforms to maximize reach, engagement, and impact. By focusing on short form content and social platform expertise, we aim to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately, business growth by expanding Microsoft’s presence across workforce audiences.


In this role, you will focus on building a center of excellence for delivering engaging and inspirational short-form AI skilling content (15 minutes or less) to drive net new learner adoption of AI with a focus on Microsoft Copilot within the Worldwide Learning organization. As the Senior Learning Manager for AI Skilling Initiatives, you will lead cross-audience programs addressing both business and technical AI adoption. You will lead a new operational model and cultivate partnerships across Microsoft to deepen our connection to our partner demand generation engines and ensure we have a steady stream of entertaining and effective social skilling content for learners around the world.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree or equivalent AND/OR 3+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, customer success, industry, or program/project management
    • OR Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR 5+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, customer success, industry, or program/project management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in the technology industry or social media
  • 5+ years in product marketing, project or program management

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Operates with a sense of urgency and tenacity.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve business outcomes and impact, preferably in the learning space.
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale initiatives within an organization.
  • Master's degree in business administration.
  • Deep understanding of the relevant industry and best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to generate energy for key initiatives among co-workers and communities.

Integrated Learning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

Success in this role will be that you and your peers work together to:

  1. Lead AI skilling initiatives that tell cohesive stories for how AI is improving the way we live and work through social skilling and short-form modalities.
  2. Create clarity and simplicity for learners to move from novice skills to proficiency, one skill at a time through short form content.
  3. Partner closely with marketing, advocacy, and engineering to drive a structured skilling initiative around the “jobs-to-be-done” framework for existing and upcoming AI functionality.
