Overview
The Azure High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (HPC & AI) compute platform team defines and delivers the hardware roadmap, software, and services that enable our users to run technical computing workloads in Azure – extreme scale AI training and inference including large language models, traditional HPC modelling and simulations, remote visualization, and immersive gaming experiences. We are responsible for providing Azure customers with supercomputer-class capabilities to accelerate their research, drive competitive differentiation, and finding answers to some of the most difficult questions of science and industry.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who has a proven track record working with complex and distributed engineering systems that are used in operating large-scale cloud solutions. This role requires a candidate with an ability to deliver technical solutions, model Microsoft values and support cross-organization programs to make them successful.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with infrastructure operations, or cloud services.
- A growth-mindset that enables creativity in thinking, strong analytical skills, an ability to deal with ambiguity, management of changing priorities, and consistency in learning from others.
- Passion for solving complex problems with engineering solutions that optimize both the product and customer experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management
- OR software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Proficient data skills with ability to derive complex insights from disparate data sources
- Understanding of telemetry systems, CMDBs or incident management tools
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks, LLM based tools or intelligent automation platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication and partnership skills across a diverse set of audiences and stakeholders.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Fleet Health Optimization: Analyze telemetry and operational data to identify regressions, inefficiencies, and trends. Develop and execute end-to-end plans to maintain optimal fleet health and reduce operational overhead.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with hardware, software, and Azure engineering teams to align priorities, unblock dependencies, and drive impactful solutions.
- Workflow Automation: Identify manual processes and lead initiatives to automate them, improving reliability and scalability of operations.
- Telemetry: Leverage existing telemetry, identify gaps and evolve platform insights as needed to support business goals.
- Program Execution: Manage timelines, track deliverables, and communicate status updates to stakeholders across engineering, capacity planning, and finance teams.
- AI Agent Enablement: Define use cases, data requirements, and integration strategies for AI agents that support automated diagnostics and decision-making workflows. Ensure performance and efficacy of AI agents.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication across diverse teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of complex programs.
