Overview

The PDM scope involves leading the creation of a long-term strategic vision that aligns with the impact and potential of partners across various segments. This role requires selling the account vision to senior business decision makers at highly sought-after partners and identifying market opportunities based on industry gaps and emerging trends. Building and maintaining trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite leaders of complex partners is crucial to achieve strategic alignment and drive growth. The role also involves leading business-design briefings to advise partner leadership on building a high-impact Microsoft Services practice, coaching and challenging partners to transform their plans and strategies around consumption and key targets, and leading campaigns with various functional areas and the partners' marketing teams. Ensuring that partners invest in building world-class teams that are staffed with talent and enabled to drive sales is essential. Additionally, developing Go-to-Market (GTM) and co-selling strategies with complex partners, ensuring partner readiness through marketing plans, and resolving complex and urgent escalations on behalf of partners are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 12+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 15+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience OR equivalent experience.

2. Evaluating partner portfolios to identify opportunities and gaps.

3. Creating a long-range strategic vision for partners.

4. Integrating skills and capacity plans for partner businesses.

5. Building trusted advisor relationships with complex partners' C-suite leaders.

6. Developing partner business plans involving sales, marketing and technical.

7. Ensuring results on partners' behalf through resolution of escalations.

8. Ensuring partners invest in building world-class teams.

9. Coaching and challenging partners to transform their plans.

10. Developing go-to-market and co-selling strategies with partners.
