As a Program Manager II, you will lead and collaborate across disciplines to drive Surface software and firmware program planning, implementation, and integration. You’ll manage consistency across all Surface programs, align schedules and scope, and drive milestone execution. This opportunity will allow you to:

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree AND 2+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,
    • OR product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2 years of experience in program management or other engineering disciplines defining, driving, and shipping products through multiple ship cycles.
  • Experience in Software and Firmware development and how they interface with Hardware.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,
    • OR product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in System Integration, particularly how HW/SW come together in advanced consumer electronic products.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineering teams to design technical solutions, identify risks, and propose data-driven mitigations.
  • Define success criteria and coordinate cross-functional feature implementation, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Deliver on roadmap milestones with minimal supervision, track schedules, and support governance programs.
  • Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases, collecting performance metrics, and engaging directly with customers.
  • Lead program reviews and status updates for engineering, business, and senior leadership.
  • Manage weekly Software-in-Development Review materials for executive visibility.
  • Ensure consistency in software program execution across Surface product lines.
