Microsoft is leading the security industry with cloud-based security products. Our team is at the forefront with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Defender for CSPM, Defender for AI, Defender for Storage, Defender for Containers, etc.) product. Our CAT (Customer Acceleration Team) team is part of Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) organization and works very closely with product engineering, Microsoft filed (Sales and Marketing and Cloud Solution Architects), strategic customers, and partners. We create deep engineering relationships with the product engineering team to learn about the features of Microsoft Defender for Cloud (MDC) product and its service architecture, and then educate Microsoft field, our customers, and our partners how to best deploy and use our products. Our Mission is to help a customer focused product engineering and continuous product innovation by including customer voice during product strategy, design, and development phases.

The Cloud Security Customer Acceleration Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to work in Microsoft Defender for Cloud (MDC) – Security Exposure Management product with mission is to help our customer successfully deploy the solution.
As an MDC- CAT Senior Product Manager, you'll play an important role in shaping our security products engineering, enabling customers to protect themselves, and enabling Microsoft field to position and architect Microsoft Defender for Cloud solution. This Role will focus on Defender for Cloud and specifically with Microsoft Security Exposure Management.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 3+ years of Azure infrastructure/network experience.
- 2+ years of Cybersecurity experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medium level knowledge in Microsoft Security Exposure Management.
- Medium level knowledge in Azure AI.
- You are a fast learner.
- You enjoy working on a team and collaborating both in person and remotely.
- You possess a genuine desire to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.
- You are confident, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
- You are willing to travel, sometimes extensively.
You may demonstrate experience, passion, and proficiency in these areas:
- Azure Fundamentals and cybersecurity.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for building internal and external relationships
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to consolidate and integrate diverse inputs
- Experience working with customers and field sales teams with a proven customer satisfaction track record in a customer-facing role.
- Technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly master service capabilities, technical issues, business trends, and customer needs
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities
What you'll do to help us achieve our mission:
- You will dig deep into the technologies, serving as a go-to person for this domain.
- You will understand the story behind our security solutions, and tell it both internally and externally at events like Ready, Ignite, Tech Summits, etc.
- You will help our customers understand how to validate successful deployments and to interpret detections and alerts
- You will recognize our customers’ needs, and how these needs drive or don't drive deployments/usage, and what blockers exist
- You will work closely with engineering, sales, and support teams to handle customer inquiries and incidents raised through customer interaction channels by addressing questions directly or routing to the appropriate resource and tracking to resolution
- You will find blockers, bugs, and feature opportunities and partner with our engineering teams to resolve issues and drive fixes into future products
You will tell the customer story internally to drive the evolution of our products - You will contribute to the technical documentation for our products, writing blogs, troubleshooting guides, reference architectures, playbooks, etc.
- You will contribute writing samples such as Azure Logic Apps playbooks, PowerShell scripts, ARM templates for Azure Policy to enable customers to operationalize product usage in their environments
- You will keep your demo/lab environment up to date for effective demonstration, problem solving, and learning
