We are looking for a Business Architect to drive go-to-market strategy and execution for AI Acceleration. As part of the Innovation & Acceleration team within Commercial Solution Areas, this role will aim to accelerate customers’ AI transformation into value at speed and scale, showcasing Microsoft’s end-to-end platform.
The Business Architect for AI Acceleration will be pivotal in driving the success of AI Acceleration initiatives, ensuring that Microsoft leads in this rapidly evolving agentic landscape. This is a fast-paced, exciting role where we drive clarity for our sellers and customers every day, helping them make sense of AI and how it can help transform their functions and industries.
This role requires deep understanding of Microsoft’s portfolio of AI solutions across Security, AI Business Solutions and Cloud & AI Platform, and the ability to integrate across these solution areas to deliver a playbook for customers to help their organizations become Frontier Firms. To do this, it is necessary to understand the MCEM stages, how the field operates across regions and translate strategy into landing and execution.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years' experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years' experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in driving GTM for AI solutions at Microsoft or competitor.
- Passion for technology and ability to articulate solutions clearly to both business and customer audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to assess business performance, identify market opportunities, and develop actionable insights.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience leading virtual teams and driving results autonomously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous business environments and adapt quickly through iteration.
- Demonstrated commitment to simplicity and clarity in problem-solving and execution.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year. Responsibilities
As a Business Architect, your role will include:
- Designing the end-to-end GTM plan across all levers for AI Acceleration – including building the field engagement model across ATU, STU and CSU, and across all three solution areas (Security, Cloud & AI Platform, AI Business Solutions).
- Leading FY planning and landing with the field, partnering across corp stakeholders.
- Partnering with AI Acceleration GBBs, Enablement and SE&O across regions to equip every seller and partner to map customer vision to technology across the solution areas.
- Shortening the distance between field and engineering by deeply engaging in the loop, and delivering insights that shape product truth, marketing strategy and GTM execution
