As part of the Financial Services Industry team you will be enabling FSI institutions through technology transformation to have great impact on society and drive long term prosperity in the Uk & beyond.

An exciting opportunity has become available as Strategic Account Technology Strategist (ATS) responsible for the technology relationship between Microsoft and one of Microsoft's biggest FSI global customers. This systemically important customer is on a cloud and AI transformation journey and looking to become a Frontier organisation.

The ATS role will look to maximise the value of the partnership with Microsoft, driving innovation through the co-innovation engagements, building an even tighter engagement with their technology services and operational teams, helping develop and nurture trusted relationships with C-level technology executives in the key line of businesses.

Above all, the ATS candidate must establish deep trust with key technology Services stakeholders, CTO and LOB to deliver proven value to them across all Microsoft services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business OR

related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR Equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in digital transformation roles, with a strong emphasis on AI as a strategic enabler—demonstrated ability to translate complex AI concepts into tangible, high-impact solutions that drive customer outcomes.
  • Strong technical foundation, well versed in coaching a customer through a technical envisioning conversation (Business and Technical)
  • Ability to connect the technical capabilities necessary to achieve the customer business outcome
  • Change Leadership Skills - Fully achieving the business impact customers demand requires the sustained usage of our solutions and cloud services. This can only be achieved by helping the customer fully integrate our cloud services into the workflows and processes of their business
  • Must genuinely enjoy working with customers (not just working on customer problems) and be curious
  • Ability to work with senior Business Decision Makers /Technical Decision Makers to define clear outcomes for success and understand business processes – ideally with Financial Services Industry relevance
  • Possess solution and enterprise architecture knowledge that allows you to connect solutions to the business outcomes a customer requires
  • Considerable technical sales experience
  • Preferred background in delivering large scale cloud transformation programs across a multi-geo customer
  • Preferred experience working in a global team (there will be a need for global travel as part of this role)

Responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation & Innovation Strategy: Understand the customers business goals and industry trends, Microsoft solution areas and partner solutions to build a compelling vision for the impact technology can deliver, aligned with a multi-year roadmap for delivery of the vision
  • Technology Thought Leadership: Reimagine the role of technology as a business and innovation partner to drive the customers Digital Transformation/ AI agenda, help them understand the impact of emerging and strategic technologies and inspire and influence them for Microsoft technologies to become the main enabler of business innovation
  • Industry & Business Architecture: Create a long-term strategy which links business, technology, and industry needs of our customers to enable their business and transformation strategy and drive sustainable change
  • Technology Sales: Orchestrate technology sales activities to drive the digital transformation vision and roadmap of our customers with Microsoft technologies. Plan and orchestrate the solution proposal and coordinate technology sales teams to provide the right solution to the customer
  • Account Leadership: Be a Change Agent internally and externally to inspire and ideate about possibilities innovative technologies provide to drive business strategy and priorities of our customers. Own and strengthen the collaborative relationship with C-level technology, innovation, and technology executives.   • Orchestration: Ability to manage and lead a diverse virtual matrix of teams across all areas of Microsoft
