We’re seeking a bold, strategic, and highly collaborative Senior HR Business Manager to join the Geo MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) HR Office of the CVP, reporting to the HR Chief of Staff. This is a critical role in the heart of our office during a time of global HR transformation. You’ll be a key driver in shaping how HR shows up across our geographies, helping us build the frontier HR function of the future.
As part of a high-performing team supporting over 60,000 employees across 90+ countries, you’ll partner closely with the Chief of Staff, HR Leadership Team, and global business management community to bring clarity to complexity, momentum to ideas, and structure to transformation. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, communications, and innovation - leveraging AI-powered tools like Copilot to simplify processes and elevate our HR employee experiences across Geo-MCAPS. In this role, you’ll leverage your program management skills, and ability to synthesize data, insights, and signals across a broad set of inputs to shape recommended plans and communications.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management) AND 5+ years’ experience in financial management, project management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years program management experience
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- Strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to land business plans and influence senior executives.
- Deep business and people acumen, with the ability to coach, consult, and influence across all levels on complex HR decisions.
- Executive-level communication skills—both written and verbal—with a knack for storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
- Project management capabilities, with experience leading scalable solutions from design to delivery.
- Analytical fluency in HR data, with the ability to derive insights and drive decisions.
- Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset, maturity, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s HR operating model and experience driving a consistent Rhythm of the Business (RoB).
Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities
Architect the HR Rhythm of Business (RoB)
- Design and operationalize a structured RoB that enables strategic planning, cross-org collaboration, and capability building through engagement strategies like all-hands, site visits, and learning forums.
Harness Data for Insight and Action
- Translate data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and measure the impact of our people investments. Drive a predictable RoB on this topic.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Provide consultation and advice to the team around fiscal planning, vendor strategy, and budget management with precision and foresight, partnering across the EA and BM community. Responsible for managing the overall budget including POs, Vendor strategy and spend/expenses. Partners with EA and BM community to ensure efficient and accurate budget management throughout the year in accordance with the company’s budgeting process.
Elevate Executive Communications
- Lead the strategy and execution of internal and external communications for the CVP HR, including social media, events, and customer engagements. Partners with Chief of Staff to co-lead and land internal and/or external content. Supports the development and communication of relevant information to the organization via a creative multimedia approach (i.e. videos, newsletters, SharePoint and Teams).
Champion Organizational Health
- Collaborate with HRLT and the Geo MCAPS Executive Office to accelerate progress on culture, inclusion, and employee experience. Define communications and action plans for the organization in response to employee signals. Tracks the use of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings (e.g., security) to drive required training completion rates.
Extend Executive Impact
- Act as an advisor to the HR CVP, aligning team activities with leadership priorities -shaping decisions across communications, budgets, people, and organizational pulse. Supports the CoS and CVP of HR in communicating key priorities and outcomes.
Lead Special Projects and Initiatives
- Drive high-impact, cross-functional projects that respond to evolving business needs. Ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.
