Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic UX Researcher to join our team driving the Next Generation SharePoint (NGSP) experience. NGSP is a major redesign of SharePoint making it more intuitive, AI-powered, and scenario-driven. You’ll help shape how users Discover, Publish, and Build within SharePoint, influencing everything from site creation to intelligent content delivery.


As a Senior UX Researcher, you’ll lead human-centered strategy, set product direction, and integrate insights into product development. You’ll work across disciplines to fill knowledge gaps, prioritize inclusion, identify risks, and deliver actionable insights that represent the voice of our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 6 years, Master’s + 4 years, or Doctorate + 3 years in HCI, Behavioral Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in UX research across product strategy and design execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 + years in UX research with domain expertise in productivity or enterprise tools.
  • Experience influencing both product direction and detailed experience design.
  • Familiarity with AI-first workflows and ethical evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research that defines customer needs and informs product strategy across NGSP scenarios.
  • Apply mixed-methods research to uncover insights that drive design and engineering decisions.
  • Study user behavior across the funnel to understand adoption, churn, and engagement.
  • Guide cross-disciplinary research efforts, including stakeholder coaching and large-scale learning events.
  • Deliver clear, accessible insights that improve UX coherence and product outcomes.
