Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Azure Solution Engineer Manager to lead a team of Azure Solution Engineers focused on driving cloud transformation and customer success. This role blends technical leadership, strategic vision, and customer engagement to deliver impactful Azure-based solutions across infrastructure, data, and AI workloads.

As an Azure Solution Engineer Manager, you will lead a team of Azure Solution Engineers who act as trusted advisors to Microsoft’s enterprise customers. Your mission is to guide customers through their Cloud & AI transformation journey, helping them realize business priorities through tailored Azure solutions. This role blends technical depth, strategic leadership, and customer engagement to deliver impactful outcomes across infrastructure, data, and AI workloads.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5+ years in solutions engineering or cloud architecture.
    • 2+ years in a leadership or management role

Technical Expertise

    • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services including:
      • Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
      • Azure Active Directory
      • Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking
      • Backup and Site Recovery
    • Strong understanding of AI, data platforms, and machine learning.
    • Experience in migration from on-premise to cloud and cross-cloud transitions.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft’s technical intensity levels (L300–L400) and sales alignment models.

Soft Skills

    • Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver customer-centric solutions.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.

  • AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
  • AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • AI-102: Azure AI Engineer Associate
  • DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead and mentor a team of Azure Solution Engineers across Infra, Data, and AI domains.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Drive technical excellence and ensure alignment with Microsoft’s strategic goals.
  • Customer Engagement

    • Own and manage technical milestones and conversion metrics (e.g., UC2C, win technical decisions).
    • Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and propose tailored Azure solutions.
    • Ensure rapid value realization through robust customer success plans.
  • Solution Strategy & Execution

    • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure architectures.
    • Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to align solutions with business objectives.
    • Drive pre-sales activities including envisioning workshops, demos, and technical briefings.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
    • Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
    • Track and report on team performance, customer satisfaction, and technical outcomes.
