As an Azure Solution Specialist, your mission is to influence critical customer decisions by demonstrating the unmatched value of Microsoft’s cloud services. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, helping organisations adopt Azure for their core workloads, tools, data strategies, and AI initiatives. Leading the way in cloud-native architecture, you’ll design solutions that deliver scalability, automation, cost efficiency, and advanced data and AI capabilities. You’ll inspire and guide developer teams to adopt modern practices and build transformative cloud solutions, while orchestrating resources across sales, technical, partner, and consulting teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer outcomes. By driving sales growth and accelerating usage and consumption in your territory, you’ll be the go-to expert customers rely on to navigate cloud application development, unlock data-driven insights, and harness the transformative power of AI.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; OR 6+ years technology-related sales or management experience.
  • 6+ years solution or services sales experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative: Engage with Decision Makers to create a shared vision. Understand the customer’s business challenges and opportunities to establish credibility and trust, demonstrating that Microsoft solutions not only solve customer business problems but also realize the business value of our solutions.

  • Solution Design and Proof: Lead the solution design by becoming proficient in delivering Microsoft vision, strategy, and value to C-level and Apps Decision Makers. Orchestrate the experts to create the solution, validate it via Proof of Concept, and showcase how it meets customer business and technology requirements.

  • Sales Leadership: Drive the Azure business to exceed revenue, consumption, and scorecard targets. Maintain excellence in pipeline management, accuracy of sales forecast, and deal close plans.

  • Deal Orchestration: Substantiate the value of the solution by building business cases with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and negotiate deals based on value. Secure customer commitment for business proposals.

  • Customer Centricity: Be the Voice of the customer and influence go-to-market strategies by providing feedback on product requirements and sales blockers.

  • Build Strategy: Maintain and grow expertise across the Microsoft Cloud, including infrastructure, data, AI, and developer technologies. Stay current with industry trends to deliver informed, relevant guidance.

  • Collaborative: Engage with decision makers to create a shared vision. Understand the customer’s business challenges and opportunities to establish credibility and trust, demonstrating how Microsoft solutions address their needs and deliver meaningful business value.
  • Partner Engagement: Identify customer’s digital transformation needs, business drivers, their perspective, and concerns. Establish and understand the buying decision criteria and timeline to make decisions regarding the solution.
