Overview

Microsoft Americas Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale.

We are looking for a Senior Product Go To Market Manager (GTMM), Cloud Security to lead strategy and execution as part of the Americas Security Product Go To Market team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact one of the largest businesses at Microsoft and be on the leading edge of product innovation, working on Cloud Security. You will define and execute the Americas GTM strategy, through programs and campaigns for a large set of stakeholders to grow revenue and market share. You will be expected to develop a strong understanding of this product and competitor set (200-300 level), and work closely with worldwide sales, marketing, partner and engineering teams.

The Senior Product GTMM, Cloud Security offers a unique opportunity to own the Cloud Security business strategy and GTM for the Americas, driving impact, growth while enabling our field teams, customers and partners.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales, sales enablement, business development, pre-sales, or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of Go To Market manager experience with ANY combination of the following:
    • 1) Developing and implementing regional GTM strategies through data-driven insights, to accelerate revenue, usage, and share
    • 2) Driving sales enablement to include but not limited to field marketing, product/program/segment GTM, or similar.
    • 3) Leading product evangelism by landing clear value prop, constructing end-customer offers, and managing key updates, product blockers, and competitive strategy/insights
  • 5+ years of enterprise experience with ANY combination of the following: create and orchestrate strategic go-to-market plans; build, develop, and execute sales enablement strategy; drive marketing and partner programs; product marketing; business planning; product management; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; end-to-end customer journey, develop insights; or related.
  • 4+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
  • 2+ years of technical experience and/or knowledge in Security or Cloud Security

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective stakeholder management skills across matrix organizations.
  • Cross-group collaboration, executive communication, storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas for various audiences.
  • Efficient Business Analysis Skills (understands financials, sales processes, scorecards and key performance indicators)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) preferred, relevant fields of study include Marketing, Business, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Field Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

Product Advocacy

  • Be the product expert – maintain product knowledge and be able to deliver the value proposition and compelling demo.
  • Be the product advocate/trainer - Leverage product, industry, market, and competitive knowledge as well as technical expertise to develop localized competitive strategy, position the value proposition, and tailor messaging to both internal and external audiences (e.g., sales and marketing readiness)
  • Be the product trainer - Provide guidance to sales (e.g., interpretation of propensity models) in customer engagements and share expertise to guide partners and customers with outcome-based marketing and business value
  • Be the customer voice - provide the engineering teams with product feedback and leverage understanding of the overall health of the business and customer/partner pain points to identify areas for adjustment to drive greater impact in the field, remove sales blockers and drive customer value.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy, Planning, and Delivery

  • Creates and co-orchestrates strategic go-to-market (GTM) plans for Cloud Security across sales, marketing, customer success, and partner functions, supporting One-Microsoft, cross-functional execution as appropriate.
  • Fosters alignment of investments and monitors growth and opportunities across the business through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the area/subsidiary.
  • Drives GTM strategy and lands growth plans (e.g., revenue, usage, customer health). Drives a functional team in understanding and executing strategy plans.

Field Enablement

  • Lead regular cadence of connections with corporate & local teams (e.g., global sales, marketing, and operations, the business group, engineering) to execute tactical and strategic planning, gather feedback, and enable field performance.

Business Development

  • Supports the creation and pursuit of white-space growth opportunities across Cloud Security. Leverages knowledge of revenue, share targets, and the area/subsidiary's capabilities to develop strategies that maximize performance across products/services.
