As an Account Technology Strategist supporting a large customer in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic innovation and long-term business transformation. You’ll lead the development and execution of a dynamic customer plan, applying proven methodologies to build a sustainable portfolio that delivers measurable impact. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll engage across Microsoft and with external partners to influence the broader ecosystem—whether shaping industry conversations or contributing to policy initiatives.
You’ll build trusted relationships with senior leaders and C-level executives, using those connections to guide strategic direction and influence business outcomes. Your ability to anticipate challenges, remove blockers, and implement recovery plans will be key to elevating the customer experience. You’ll also craft compelling strategies that showcase the value of Microsoft’s cloud offerings, grounded in deep industry knowledge and aligned with customer expectations.
To succeed, you’ll tap into Microsoft’s internal network of experts to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer priorities. You’ll use this insight to empower your account team, influence customer capabilities, and deliver innovative, growth-oriented solutions that make a lasting difference.
In this role, you'll be expected to visit the customer at their site on a regular basis either in Dallas, TX or New York City, NY.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 14+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management.
- 5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.
Strategic Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
