The GDE (Gaming Devices Ecosystem) Operations Team, also known as GOT, is the operational excellence hub for Xbox hardware engineering organization that creates devices to delight passionate gamers. GOT’s mission is to power product and business heroes to scale and achieve more. We serve and connect the organization horizontally, vertically, and 360 degrees—driving alignment across orgs and functions, accelerating programs, and leading the transformation of Xbox hardware business operations to align with Xbox’s strategic direction and priorities.

The Senior Business Program Manager role will focus on Product & Business Rhythm of Business (ROB), in-market-issue management, systems/tools security & compliance, process simplification and optimization, and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).

The Senior Business Program Manager excels in navigating ambiguity and demonstrates a proven ability to lead complex technical programs. They influence without authority across diverse teams and disciplines, leveraging sharp analytical skills to synthesize data into actionable insights. Their executive communication is clear and impactful, complemented by strong storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. They bring deep expertise in designing and executing communication strategies that resonate with varied audiences. Their understanding of Rhythm of Business (ROB) frameworks, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and business performance metrics enables them to align initiatives with strategic goals. Additionally, they have hands-on experience with systems mapping, process optimization, and compliance frameworks. Above all, they are driven by a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Experience with Xbox hardware or consumer electronics hardware
  • Understanding of sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification
  • Background in defining and managing success metrics such as OKRs and KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Ability to evangelize complex programs and influence diverse stakeholders—including engineering, product, and operations leaders—through data-driven insights

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program landscape research and analysis to identify and scope opportunities for improvements that impact the broader Xbox hardware business.
  • Drive the definition and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Evangelize highly complex programs and share best practices across diverse stakeholders, from subject matter experts (SMEs) to product/engineering/operations leaders, to gain buy-in and drive adoption.
  • Manage a portfolio of highly complex projects, including planning, timelines, milestones, financials, and resource needs. Conduct and guide cost-benefit analyses to evaluate performance against value drivers such as ROI and P&L.
  • Provide insight into how people, processes, technology, and systems interact, and lead efforts to optimize these interdependencies.
  • Lead monthly business reviews (MBRs) and other ROB cadences to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process simplification and optimization, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. This includes influencing organizational change, advocating for new initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and driving behavioral change through strategic communication and enablement.
