The team’s charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a key member of the team you’ll be responsible for executing the accounting system and process solutions for new initiatives focused on the next generation of Microsoft’s Cloud infrastructure. The Accounting Manager - Cloud Supply Chain will be involved with a multi-billion dollar asset portfolio influencing the design of systems & processes, providing key insight to business partners, and executing monthly financial close processes. The Accounting Manager - Cloud Supply Chain will collaborate with Microsoft partners globally, including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for Cloud Infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required/minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Previous accounting experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables/Cash Application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous accounting experience Supply Chain (preferred).
  • Preliminary understanding of GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX
  • Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reconciling cash payments and receipts for the Cloud Supply Chain portfolio.
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies utilizing reporting from multiple financial databases, then driving resolution by leading discussions with several key stakeholder teams (ie. Finance, Sourcing, Engineering, Vendors).
  • Work independently or in partnerships with cost accounting, asset management, reporting, process enablement to ensure timely and accurate fiscal close cycles.
  • Assist team in fulfilling auditor requests by collecting and preparing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)/ International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and MS Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.
