Overview

In the Consumer Channel Sales Organization, our mission is to earn fans and build enduring brand love by delivering emotionally resonant, connected, and AI-powered experiences across Windows, Surface, and Microsoft 365.

As the Worldwide Digital Strategy and eCommerce Lead, you will shape and execute Microsoft’s global digital commerce strategy across partner retail ecosystems, marketplaces, and digital touchpoints. You will lead a high-performing global team to accelerate omnichannel transformation, scale generative AI-powered marketing capabilities, and drive eCommerce growth through data-driven customer experiences.

This role collaborates deeply with Line of Business (LOB) leads for Windows, Surface, and Microsoft 365, Regional Consumer Channel Partner Marketing leads, Channel sales and worldwide product marketing stakeholders. You will co-create marketing solutions tailored to category priorities and help define Microsoft’s digital omnichannel execution model in retail.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 7+ years experience in customer experience design OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 5+ years leading global digital transformation or eCommerce enablement efforts
  • Experience leading social, influencer, and retail media network strategies at scale.
  • Experience with data-driven marketing practices including paid media, A/B testing, search, CRM, and performance measurement

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years experience in customer experience design OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years experience in customer experience design OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience scaling AI-powered marketing solutions across global partner networks
  • Experience with social media platforms.

Partner Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

Accelerate Omnichannel Innovation and Growth

  • Define and lead Microsoft’s digital commerce strategy in retail to grow online share across Surface, Windows, Microsoft 365, and Xbox.
  • Deliver scalable toolkits, content frameworks, and execution playbooks that enhance product discovery, conversion, and attach across partner platforms.
  • Expand generative AI-led solutions to improve customer journeys and scale assisted selling experiences.

Enable Digital Execution Excellence Across Partners

  • Drive consistent execution across digital shelf optimization, site navigation, product detail page excellence, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and campaign integration across global accounts.
  • Craft organic and paid social media, influencer, and creator strategies which integrate into full-funnel campaigns amplifying partner impact, increasing reach, and enhancing customer engagement.
  • Lead the digital marketing investment strategy across paid media, search, and partner co-marketing with a focus on measurable impact.
  • Scale AI-powered content workflows and syndication models across top retail and marketplace partners.

Develop Strategic Frameworks and Performance Measurement Dashboards

  • Build partner capability frameworks, global growth dashboards, campaign measurement dashboards and execution excellence scorecards.
  • Partner with regional sales and marketing teams to land global initiatives while enabling local adaptation.
  • Collaborate with LOB and product marketing leads to co-create category-specific shopper journeys that support attach and retention goals.

Leverage Data, AI, and Consumer Insight

  • Use platforms such as GWI (Global Web Index), Voice of the Customer, and Yogi Ratings & Reviews to derive insights and drive content strategy, targeting, and personalization.
  • Champion test-and-learn experimentation to optimize digital journeys and online campaign performance.
  • Lead AI fluency initiatives across the organization through learning forums, newsletters, and digital enablement resources.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Lead a globally distributed team of digital and eCommerce resources focused on marketing innovation, executional excellence, and partner impact.
  • Operate with clarity, empathy, and urgency across global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing, Channel Sales, Retail Presence & Influence, and Global Partner Marketing to deliver integrated go-to-market excellence.
