We are looking to hire a Senior Cloud Solution Architect, Cloud and AI Platforms to collaborate with strategic Microsoft partners in building AI-powered solutions by providing deep architectural guidance, accelerating adoption of Azure and modern DevOps practices, and helping teams implement robust software development patterns—leveraging generative AI tools to boost productivity and innovation across cloud-native workloads.

This opportunity will allow you to focus on Microsoft’s technology priorities and drive penetration of Cloud Solution Area workloads with our most significant partners. You will provide deep technical coaching and support to our partners to develop impactful solutions and services for our customers. Leveraging your experience, you will validate partners’ technology architecture, assist them to overcome technical blockers, and aid them to win early customers, and realize consumption and usage results from their solutions and services.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in in Azure/cloud/infrastructure technologies, software development, architecture, generative AI, cloud-native workloads, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in consultative/complex technical sales, technology solutions/practice development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
  • Experience building and growing technical sales relationships with CXOs (Chief Experience Officers), and executives in ISV (Independent Software Vendor) and MSPs (Managed Service Provider), or similar.
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer (full stack)
  • 4+ years of expertise, in at least one or more Modern Dev Stacks (Node, Python, .net, go, etc) AND basic knowledge of working with containers and AKS

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Dev Ops experience and experience in deployable solutions, with knowledge of 2-3 Modern Dev Stacks (Node, Python, .net, go, etc)
  • Ability to solve Partner problems and unblock technical issues, leveraging internal and/or external resources and a proficient understanding of Microsoft Cloud Solution Area products and services
  • Certification in one of the following technologies preferred: Cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application architecture (i.e., containers, microservices, API (Application Programming Interface Management), modern software development techniques like DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tool chains (i.e., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure developer services, GitHub) and container orchestration systems (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Azure), Prosci
  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

Partner Enablement and Execution

  • Enablement Execution: Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build partners’ technical skills
  • Technical Engagement: Lead deep technical engagements, including; Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons
  • Best Practice Sharing: Collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering teams to generate technical insight and enable best practices sharing
  • Solution Development: Aid partners to develop and implement high quality solutions and/or services leveraging Microsoft’s latest technologies
  • Evangelism: Evangelize partners’ practices and solutions in customers’ implementations via Technical briefings and Architecture Review Sessions
  • Tech Sales: Enable partners on technical pre-sales skills while supporting initial partners’ wins and work to unblock technical issues.
