We are looking for seasoned Director, Partner Sales Executive with digital advertising monetization and gaming expertise to build deep and lasting relationships with Microsoft’s owned and operated publisher businesses – in this case Xbox, Microsoft Casual Games, and Activision Blizzard King - partnering closely to unlock new publisher revenue growth from Microsoft Advertising collaboration.
In this role, you will leverage experience of developing executive-level relationships and your deep knowledge of ad tech, media, and online advertising (in particular gaming, video, apps, social). You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with the key leaders in Xbox, deeply understanding their consumer-facing growth and monetization strategy, ensuring that MSA is in lock-step and ready to help them deliver on their goals. You will build deep, trusted relationships, operating as a thought and business partner to significantly accelerate their growth potential through partnership, product and monetization opportunities. This role will navigate both the unique requirements and goals of each publisher and fully comprehend what is required to land the monetization solutions that Microsoft Advertising takes to market.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 8+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
- OR 10+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 12+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
- OR 14+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
- OR equivalent experience.
- 7+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
- Solid relationship account management experience along with a high accountability and owner-operator mindset.
Partner Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.

Responsibilities
- Joint business planning and “embedded” relationship management:
- Build and maintain a trusted-advisor relationship with partners' decision makers to achieve strategic alignment and drive engagement with internal stakeholders to execute on opportunities. Embed in the publisher ROB, MMM (Missions, Milestones and Metrics) status, and play a leading role in key workstreams.
- Ensure that MSA understands the full detail of the publisher strategy and can respond with effective demand solutions via strategy and product roadmap iteration.
- Develop annual and quarterly plans to align publisher goals and initiatives with annual revenue targets and the objectives of our advertising business, ensure these are being delivered against,
- Work with internal stakeholders and partners to develop joint business plans that generate revenue for the publishers and Microsoft, align with long-term priorities, facilitate partner transformations, and convert market opportunities into concrete projects.
- Delivery against strategic goals:
- Ensure alignment of prioritization across publisher, Microsoft Advertising, and Microsoft AI (MAI) Monetization, Product & Eng to deliver on key initiatives to drive publisher ad revenue.
- Ensure MAM (MAI Advertising & Monetization) GTM processes fully comprehend publisher needs to ensure we can effectively sell and support new offerings to advertisers in a scalable way.
- Ensure key dependencies on publisher supply growth and evolution of our canvases for advertising revenue and product dependencies are clear, fully understood and considered publisher-side.
- Work with internal business planning team and media solutions to advocate for high quality demand and GTM activation against key publisher products.
- Support personally in evangelizing the publisher narratives internally and externally, in particular to the advertising and industry communities, placing key leaders from the publisher at relevant events as needed.
- Monetization and partner growth:
- Evaluate the state of business to provide input on growth drivers and make recommendations to improve performance, showing current trends, progress and key learnings on performance to drive focused course correction and incremental growth.
- Advise on publisher yield strategy and publisher product roadmap priority, bringing the best of MSA to bear in how they plan and deliver media products.
- Collaborate with the Opportunity Analytics identify the Addressable Market for O&O Publisher offerings, the value of the inventory to our 1P and 3P demand, and where a publisher can help fill market gaps.
- Be a thought partner and play a key role in helping the publisher’s leadership teams develop, showcase and evangelize the advertiser-facing publisher narrative and value prop externally in the industry, particularly into client-facing marketing engagements.
- Work with Revenue Management to create, deliver and interpret internal summaries to senior leaders
- Strategic planning, collaboration, and staying ahead in the dynamic digital advertising landscape. By focusing on building partnerships, understanding the advertising market and how our publisher partners can deliver customer value in a scalable way, you will contribute to Microsoft's success in the ever-evolving industry.
