Overview

With a vision to "Build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more," the Channel Partner Go-to-Market, Programs, & Operations (GPO) organization brings together the go-to-market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.

In this role, as Partner Marketing Manager, you will be accountable for a portfolio of partners based in Japan and lead our global go-to-market plans and execution with responsibility for marketing-influenced pipeline and co-sell opportunities. This role is responsible for helping grow Microsoft and partner revenue through planning, executing, and landing impactful Go-to-Market initiatives for services and solutions built on the Microsoft Cloud. In this role, you will be a marketing leader with proven capability for building and landing successful go-to-market initiatives with business partners at scale while navigating executive stakeholders and understanding strategy and marketing functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, business development, business management, communications, or related field AND 5+ years in sales, marketing, or business development experience in a customer and/or partner facing role, optimally dealing with a variety of audiences (e.g., enterprise customers, global system integrators, service, consulting and advisory companies)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in go-to- market and marketing with business partners and partner ecosystems, with experience providing strategic guidance and developing repeatable best practices for planning, activation, execution, and measurement.
  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, business development, business management, communications, or related field, AND 8+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience in a customer and/or partner-facing role, optimally dealing with a variety of audiences (e.g., enterprise customers, global system integrators, service, consulting and advisory companies)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Results-driven and organized approach: Ability to create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams along with partnering skills. Proven success working in a highly matrixed and constantly changing environment while leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.
  • Proven storytelling skills and ability to delight partners, advocating on their behalf, creating great partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success.
  • Proven capabilities in revenue based marketing and understanding of driving outcome through / with partners / alliances.
  • Understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and the work that partners do to develop, build-upon, and extend service offerings and cloud solutions. Ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft cloud services to business and technical decision makers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive joint partner marketing plans deliver opportunities for mainstream solution plays for the customer segment
  • Represent Microsoft brand, MCAPS business objectives, solution play and provide partner-facing in region marketing coverage for execution as the Microsoft Subject Matter Expert on driving integrated marketing.
  • Responsible for managing Microsoft through-partner marketing investments in-line, driving utilization of channel investments & and driving outcome for partner execution. Build partner marketing capabilities on Microsoft opportunities.
