Overview

Azure Storage is a foundational pillar of Microsoft’s cloud platform, enabling customers to store, manage, and access data at scale. As part of the Azure Experiences & Ecosystems (AX&E) team, we are reimagining how customers interact with Azure Storage through intuitive, AI-enhanced, and seamless front-end experiences.


We are seeking a customer-obsessed, technically grounded Senior Product Manager to lead the design and delivery of user-facing features that elevate the Azure Storage experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product design, engineering, and customer empathy—someone who can translate complex infrastructure into delightful, accessible, and performant experiences.

You will work closely with UX, engineering, data science, and partner teams to define and execute a roadmap that improves discoverability, usability, and satisfaction across Azure Storage services. Your work will directly impact how millions of users interact with Azure.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or enterprise SaaS
  • 3+ year(s) proven track record of delivering user-facing features at scale, from concept to launch.
  • 3+ year(s) strong collaboration and communication skills across design, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ year(s) experience working on cloud storage or infrastructure products
  • 5+ year(s) familiarity with Azure Portal or similar cloud management interfaces
  • 5+ year(s) proficiency in telemetry tools and user behavior analytics (e.g., Kusto, Power BI, Clarity)
  • 1+ year(s) exposure to AI-enhanced UX or intelligent assistance features

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end customer experience for Azure Storage in the Azure Portal and other front-end surfaces.
  • Innovate AI-enhanced and agentic experiences that deliver vast improvements in customer productivity and satisfaction.
  • Define and drive a product roadmap that aligns with customer needs, business goals, and platform capabilities.
  • Partner with user research to deeply understand customer pain points, behaviors, and expectations.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure high-quality, performant, and secure implementation of features.
  • Define and track key experience metrics (e.g., task completion, satisfaction, NPS, latency).
  • Translate insights into intuitive, accessible, and scalable product features that improve customer satisfaction and reduce friction.
