We are the Microsoft Data Privacy Platform Team, a part of the Cloud Ecosystem Security (CES) Organization. The Data Privacy Platform (DPP) team has been providing internal data privacy products for all Microsoft since 2018, operating these products at high scale and availability. We build reliable, highly scalable, highly performing, and distributed systems for scanning, cataloging, classification, and DSR processing. Our job is to provide privacy infrastructure, to produce meaningful insights about compliance, and to create understandable actions that can be taken to improve. We are leveraging this experience to create new data privacy products to benefit Microsoft and later all our customers. There is a steady stream of new requirements for both our internal and external partners that create exciting opportunities to work on a high scale, impact, and visibility.

We are looking for someone who is a highly motivated, self-starter who thrives in a bottoms-up, fast paced, highly technical environment, has a strong customer focus and understands the importance of Live Site, has a demonstrated ability to establish and manage relationships across organizational boundaries, has proven experience dealing with large scale data architecture, operational architecture and or network Architecture and proven experience creating distributed systems tools of moderate-to-high complexity.

• You will be responsible to perform investigations and investments in complex areas; designing and delivering features end to end - including system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance and quality, from conception to delivery.

• - Demonstrate strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices, within the scope of work.
• - Consistently contribute key ideas to the product or service design and vision that meets the customer's needs - Drive design reviews across the team and apply expertise in available technologies
• - Apply metrics to drive the quality and stability of code - Have a sense of pride, commitment, and personal accountability for the service quality, completeness and resulting user experience for the life of the product or service
• - Work closely with geographically distributed team, including Product Managers and developers, to drive key improvements in backend Engineering System.

You will work in a forward-looking product as part of an agile, collaborative, and cross-discipline team. As a Senior SWE, you will be responsible for all aspects of a feature area including design, implementation, performance and quality. You will take such feature areas from ideation to successful global roll out. You will act as a code and design reviewer and mentors' other engineers. You must be self-driven, proactive, and results oriented

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and common Design Patterns 8+ years of relevant software development experience and proficient in C# (Java or C++) In-depth knowledge of cloud development (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) Experience developing and shipping Azure Services is a plus Experience and involvement with DevOps is a plus Effective communication/collaboration skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize issues Collaborating with technical partners to deliver end-to-end solutions Experience with multithreading and asynchronous processing Experience with CI/CD pipeline using agile practices Ability to quickly ramp up on multiple technology areas Interpersonal skills Confident and articulate in expressing ideas to a mixed audience with varying views and challenges Cultural sensitivity and a proven ability to work with teams and partners across multiple geographies. A sense of personal ownership is required, together with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines while managing internal stakeholder expectations Self-motivated and organized to deliver results Essential qualifications BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent years of work experience. Minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience

We are looking for a senior engineer who have a track record of success, who deliver results, and who (preferably) have a background in large-scale data processing systems. Everyone on the team owns significant areas of the system, directly contributes to the vision, direction, and implementation of new features, and are key to the success of our products. You will collaborate on your designs across our partner engineering teams and work closely with our PMs to design, build, and maintain a growing set of features that will serve the needs of our customers.
