Overview

The Responsible AI (RAI) team is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Technical Program Manager - Responsible AI who will work with cross-functional partners to shape Microsoft’s responsible AI system and generative AI products.

Microsoft’s RAI team on CoreAI helps ensure the responsible development and deployment of the next generation of cutting-edge generative AI models. If you join our Responsible AI team, you will join an organization committed to partnering with stakeholders across policy, research, and engineering to help every product team in Microsoft ship these evolving technologies responsibly.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager - Responsible AI, you will evaluate the responsible AI risks of generative AI releases across the company and work with product teams to develop and implement appropriate measurements and mitigations. You will partner with policy, research, and engineering stakeholders to rapidly adjust to the changing technology and policy landscape, driving the development and implementation of new requirements and best practices across product teams.

This role requires a deep understanding of generative AI use cases and responsible AI, a keen sense of product and program management to support the implementation of responsible AI commitments while keeping product innovation in mind, and sufficient technical background to understand responsible AI measurement and mitigation techniques. You will leverage your ability to pattern-match amid ambiguity and your user-centric approach to inform improvements to Microsoft’s responsible AI ecosystem and to directly shape the next wave of AI products.

New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston or Atlanta preferred, but this role is flexible in that you will be able to partner with your manager to define the way that you’d like to work, whether that is in the office or from home.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, and we’re dedicated to this mission across every aspect of our company. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. Join us and help shape the future of the world.
